thumbbook - Your nice comment went and got trapped in my spam folder. I'll check out foodista and link to it whenever I can. I had heard of it, but didn't know about the link back stuff. Thanks for sharing!

How gorge is your spread. So impressive. Great 24 post to usher in the New Year! We did a Foodbuzz 24 submission too, and it's been interesting to read all of them.

I can't believe you did that all with an oven with one rack!! Great job!! I was worried my 24 24 24 was not going to fully happen due to the snow here in Rochester NY. We all managed to make it though and had an amazing sushi party with weird ingredients like pesto, bacon, and BBQ sauce! It was a great time :)

Marija - Your confections are amazing. I can cook up a party spread, but I'm not so sure I have the patience for all that beautiful baking. Great job.

Ang, Stef, and Aaron - You most rock my world. Please always eat and drink with me.

Kelly - Yes, it was oatmeal. Any suggestions next time on what to do with 4 cups of vodka-drenched rolled oats? Thank you for reading. Your blog looks like a keeper.

What a fantastic post. I'm from Minnesota originally so I love that you used all local products. There's actually such a bounty in Minnesota that I'm not shocked you were able to make something so great. Now I really want to try making the oat and honey infused vodka. At first I looked at it and thought..."Wait a minute, is that oatmeal?" but then when I read about the honey it completely made sense. Nice job.

Carrie,

Thank you once again for hosting such a lovely party on NYE! I am still thinking about (and talking about) the food! I plan on making the vodka drinks, the onion galette, the wild rice medley, and the roasted vegetables (the way you prepared them) soon.

You are an amazing friend, host, and cook. I look forward to another year of fun times and great eating together.
